Light

I am light.
I shine through your window,
during the night and day.
I am the sun, the moon,
I am each and every star.
I wait until dawn,
I wait until you awake,
So I can shine upon you,
And a smile on your face you make.

Though shall I not shine,
upon everyone and everything.
Darkness will awake.
He will be every shadow,
every deep bottom of any lake.
He doesn't care,
He doesn't see,
He doesn't remember.
He is what he is and I will never be.
